Fraction Collector
Custom Fraction Collector for Ultracentrifugation
Details:
This portable handheld fraction collecting device is designed to fractionate samples after ultracentrifugation for both analytical and preparative applications in research. Ultracentrifugation is a powerful method that can sperate analytes by a difference in density or size, which can be used for both analytical or preparative purposes. For example, protein hexamers and monomers can be separated by glycerol gradient ultracentrifuge method[1]. High purity exosomes can be prepared by the density gradient ultracentrifuge method.
The portable fraction collectors are designed for tubes fitting SW28 and SW 55 rotors from Beckman respectively. After ultracentrifugation, take the tubes (Beckman Cat No 344058 for SW28, or Cat No. 344057 for SW55) from the rotor, put them into the fraction collector, screw in the needle, and the device will start to fractionate samples from the bottom to the top. You can change your fraction volume according to your experiment.
Advantages of our Fraction Collector
1. Can easily collect fractions from tubes that fit Beckman Coulter SW 55 and SW 28 Ti Swinging-Bucket Rotors
2. Flexible adjustment of the fraction size for analytical projects
3. Flexible collection of purified protein oligomer/exosome fractions by ultracentrifuge purification
4. Reusable
